“He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge;
His
truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
Psalm 91:4 NKJV
The Wings of Victory is a ministry by with and for adults 55 years of age and older. It was organized by Candace Carter in September, 1996 at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Trevose, Pa. The organization was originally called the Circle of Love. The name was changed when they separated from St. Matthew United Methodist Church in January of 2010.
Since becoming the Wings of Victory, the good works of the organization have expanded. Sixty percent of the residents in our community are over the age of 55.
We keep God first and our organization continues to grow and run smoothly.
The mission of the organization is to provide a ministry sensitive to the needs and concerns, hopes and dreams of older adults; providing activities, Bible study, events, educational opportunities, mentoring for youth, trips, resources and an atmosphere of care, trust and support. Our programs include Bible Study, Praise dancing, an exercise program, intergenerational gatherings, drama ministry, and game day. The organization is funded by dues and fundraisers throughout the year.
